It’s that time of year again and the massive undertaking of the Collaborate conference is upon us. This yearly conference, a collaboration between Quest, Oracle Applications User Group, (OAUG) and Independent Oracle User Group, (IOUG) is one of the largest conferences in the world for those that specialize in all areas of the Oracle database.
I’ll be at Collaborate 16 next month and looking forward to seeing lots of good friends, learning some new things, and sharing a little experience too. For the last of those, I’ll present 3 sessions, er, more like 2.2 sessions:
/> 5-Apr: WIT panel added, Alex removed, Gwen and Pete schedule shifted.
/> 11-Apr: Gwen and Pete swapped sessions.
/> 13-Apr: Jonathan off lightning talks.
Guess what? OakTable World at IOUG C15 is happening again! Last year, we had awesome sessions and wonderful attendees. The sessions were so successful, in fact, that we needed a bigger room this year (there were other reasons too, but hey we can fit more people now!).
What: OakTable World C15
/> When: Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 8:00am – 5:30pm

Collaborate 2015 at the Mandalay in Las Vegas is just around the corner and the sheer amount of Enterprise Manager focused content is phenomenal! Oracle partners and power users around the world come together each year to provide the lucky attendees the best i
Well. It’s the end to yet another Collaborate. It’s been fun. I’m thankful to IOUG for accepting my submission, “Optimizing Database Network Protocols,” which covered the basics of networking, the OSI model, Oracle/MySQL protocols, and their optimization. Likewise, after such a long hiatus, it was great to see a few of my Collaborate cronies, such as […]
Quick blog post from Collaborate 2012 in Vegas. I’m only doing one session this year but it’s a very long session — I’ve just done a deel dive on deploying Oracle Database 11gR2 for High Availability. It’s a broad topic and my plan was to focus a lot on basic concepts and how they are [...]
‘COLLABORATE 12: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community’ is de grootste Oracle gebruikersgroep conferentie ter wereld en wordt jaarlijks georganiseerd in de Verenigde Staten. Het is hét evenement om bij te zijn wanneer je geïnteresseerd bent niet alleen in Oracle Applications (E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, Siebel, etc.) maar ook in Oracle Technologie in
Thank you for all those attended my sessions during Collaborate 2010. Two of the sessions I presented were not mine; but that of Riyaj Shamsuddin. Riyaj was stuck in Denmark thanks to the ash cloud scenario in Europe and asked if I could present his. I agreed to and, with a lot of trepidation, I did. I hope I did justice to the sessions. For questions on those sessions, please reach out to Riyaj directly.
Going to my own sessions, here is where you can download the presentations. For the sessions I wanted to show live demos; but in a short span of 30 minutes for Quick Tips, it was impossible. You can download the scripts here so that you can check them out yourself. The slides show which scripts to execute.
Once again, your patronage by attending is highly appreciated. A speaker is nothing without attendees. I sincerely hope that you got some value from the sessions. As always, I am looking forward to hearing from you – not just that you liked; but things you didn't.
